Karona Is Good!” — A Child’s Wisdom in the Time of Corona

Karona is good!

My tiny daughter hugged me n said, Appa I am very happy this Corona thing came.

I was utterly taken aback. Oh! I said, u know, when people utter the word Corona, people all over the world tremble.

My puttu laughed and answered, I am very happy bcoz Corona made Appa stay at home! I can now play with Appa, read stories n enjoy pottering around in the house n explore the garden! See Appa, she said, tommy, (our dog) is smiling n playing tag with you!

This made me ponder. The word corona makes people tremble,.and run fast for life all over the world. But my daughter put a new perspective by calling it a friend!

In life, each situation, events or happenings mean different things to different people. I understood, it is not the external event, but our internal reaction to it, that can throw us into despair or explode our happiness.

Events are neutral, we can't control events. The power over us does not lie in the external events.

It is our reaction to a external event which has the power to plunge us into hell or heaven, to make us smile or to cry...... We choose our happiness by how we process the outside events.

Kaaroona, the word in Hindi means To do. So let's do our duties. Let's do what we need to do to have a happy life. Lets do what Govt says...stay home, stay safe. It too shall pass...

I now understood, each day is a learning point to the person who is willing to learn...
