Why Finding the Root Cause Matters More Than Treating Symptoms

I Don't Treat Diseases. I Solve Puzzles.

One of the questions I'm asked most often is..

"Doctor... how did you find that?"

The answer surprises most people....

I wasn't looking for a disease. I was looking for the story behind the problem.

Every patient walks into my clinic carrying pieces of a puzzle....a symptom here, a blood test there, a forgotten detail from five years ago, a stressful event, a poor night's sleep....and a medicine started months earlier...

None of those pieces mean much on their own.

Together...They tell a story.

Medicine taught me about Diseases.

My patients taught me about people and life.

And people rarely come as in neat textbook chapters.

They arrive with lives.....

Sometimes the cough isn't just a cough.

Sometimes the weight gain isn't just about calories.

Sometimes the diabetes isn't only about sugar.

Sometimes the fatigue isn't because the body is weak.

Sometimes we're asking the wrong question.

The most important question in medicine is often not...

"What disease does this person have?"

It's...

"Why did this person develop this problem?"

That's where the real detective work begins.

I still enjoy that part after all these years. Not because I love complicated cases...

But because, every time we discover the real cause, we give someone more than a prescription...

We give them Understanding.

And Understanding is where Real Healing begins.

It's about helping people understand their own bodies.

Because when you understand the "why,"

the "how" becomes much clearer.
