Sita: The Dog Who Loved Too Much

🐾💛 Sita: The Adorable Lab Who Loved Too Much

A Tale from the Sriranga Vihara Farm & the Heart of Dr. Chari

Sita wasn’t born unwanted. She was once someone’s beloved — her heart wide open, her tail a wagging poem of joy.

But sometimes, in this world, love in excess is seen as a flaw.

Sita’s only “fault”?She loved too much. She couldn’t stand being left alone. She yearned for closeness, for warmth, for someone to simply stay.

One day, her master Rajanna took her on what she thought was a joyous ride. Sita sat in the car, tongue out, eyes gleaming with love and trust. They reached the city’s farthest edges — silent, dusty lanes. He stepped out, opened the door, and walked away, leaving Sita confused… then heartbroken… then abandoned.

She ran after him in panic, not knowing she was no longer wanted. In that frantic sprint of grief, Sita was hit by a vehicle. Her leg fractured, her spirit shattered.

But the world hadn’t turned entirely cruel.

A kind old man saw her lying by the roadside — trembling, wounded, whimpering. He lifted her gently and took her to a rescue center.

There, doctors operated, caregivers nursed, and slowly, Sita’s bones began to heal. But her heart? That still waited.

Then, one day, Dr. Chari walked in.

She didn’t bark. She didn’t wag. But her eyes — oh, they spoke. They whispered everything:“Please don’t leave. I’ll never ask for anything. Just love.”

Dr. Chari brought her home to the farm — the Sriranga Vihara.

Sita bloomed like a monsoon flower. She followed him everywhere — to the clinic, to the pond, to the hills. She slept by his feet, guarded the house like a sentinel, and loved the family with a loyalty fiercer than fire.

She became the guardian of the farm, the nurturer of injured pups, the emotional anchor of the household. Every breeze on the farm carries a trace of her golden fur and steadfast gaze.

Sita’s story is one of abandonment and hope, of wounds and healing, of love lost and found again.

Because sometimes, all it takes to change a life — is to see love as a gift, not a flaw.
